The first personalized Family Calendar was published in 1981.
It was illustrated with a series of watercolor paintings of carousel horses by
Loraine. In the following years, Loraine and Kurt Kress collaborated to produce
a series of watercolor paintings on the theme of Kids at Play. These paintings
portray children in activities familiar to every family in contemporary America.
The 1990 season introduced the Outdoor Grandeur calendar
featuring 12 award winning photographs of the great outdoors. Black
River Publishing conducts an annual photography contest from which the
photographs are selected. Anyone interested in entering the contest should write
and request an entry form and contest rules.
The Family "Snapshot" and "Oneshot"
